Our Programs
Maternal & Child Health Advancement Program (MCHAP)
The Maternal & Child Health Advancement Program strengthens the well-being of mothers, newborns, and children by delivering comprehensive, community-driven health interventions. The program provides targeted education on safe motherhood, nutrition, exclusive breastfeeding, immunization, and family planning, ensuring families are equipped with practical knowledge to make informed health decisions.
OEF supports local health facilities with antenatal and postnatal care materials, facilitates outreach clinics, and trains Village Health Teams (VHTs) to enhance their capacity in early detection and referrals. Through mobilization for skilled birth attendance, home visits, and community dialogues, MCHAP reduces preventable maternal and child illnesses while nurturing healthier, more resilient households. It directly contributes to stronger health systems and improved community confidence in healthcare services.
Youth Skills & Economic Empowerment Program (Y-SEEP)
Y-SEEP provides young people—particularly vulnerable youth and young women—with practical skills, confidence, and meaningful economic opportunities. The program offers a wide range of market-responsive vocational and technical training, including agribusiness, ICT, tailoring, carpentry, and creative trades that match local employment trends.
Beyond technical skills, participants receive mentorship, financial literacy training, entrepreneurship coaching, and leadership development to help them become active contributors to their communities. The program supports youth-led enterprises through business incubation, start-up kits, and innovation hubs that nurture creativity and problem-solving. With civic education integrated into every stage, Y-SEEP empowers youth to not only secure incomes but also actively participate in governance and community decision-making processes, fostering a more engaged and self-reliant generation.
Menstrual Hygiene & Reproductive Health Program (MHRP)
The Menstrual Hygiene & Reproductive Health Program promotes menstrual dignity, gender equality, and improved reproductive health knowledge for girls and women. OEF conducts school and community-based sensitization sessions addressing menstrual hygiene, puberty, reproductive health rights, and stigma reduction, helping girls stay in school with confidence.
The program expands access to affordable sanitary solutions by producing and distributing high-quality reusable pads while equipping women’s groups to operate community-based pad-making enterprises that generate income and local ownership. MHRP also works closely with district leaders to advocate for menstrual health integration into local policies, school budgets, and health plans. Through a combination of education, enterprise, and advocacy, the program strengthens dignity, enhances school retention for girls, and builds a supportive environment where women and girls can thrive without barriers.
